         If payments are made on/or before 4th August 2006 (no exceptions) there will be a discounted fee of SGD 360.00 for all courses. Discounted fee for Survival will be at SGD 240.00 & for Conversation at SGD 180.00

Please Note:

1. Registrations will be accepted from 3rd July 2006 onwards in the premises of the Italian Cultural Institute, United Square #07-03. Registrations are valid only when accompanied by payment (Cheque or cash only) and are to be made before the course starts, i.e. not later than 10th August 2006. Crossed cheques are to be payable to Italian Cultural Institute and issued separately for course fee, for books and for membership fee.
2. Membership fee (non-refundable) for all new students is $10.00 per annum.
3. CLASSES ARE HELD AT OUR LANGUAGE CENTRE, United Square #03-02, 101 Thomson Rd.
4. Fees paid are not refundable or transferable.
5. Classes will start with a minimum of 5 students. If minimum number is not met, fees paid will be reimbursed.
6. Classes are not held on Singapore Public Holidays. Classes falling on a public holiday will not be replaced more than one time. In the same instance, Saturday classes will not be replaced. If a lesson coincides with an event organized by the Institute and the class participates, there will be no lesson replacement.
7. Individual lessons are also offered. To arrange the lessons, please contact us at 62553073.

9. There will be a test at the end of First Level B, Second Level B, Third Level C and Fourth Level C.

                If fees are paid and a student has to postpone his course to the next immediate term (subject to approval) the Institute has to be informed not later than 4th August 2006.

            * Cost of books/course material is not included in the course fees

Levels:

Survival Italian: A self-contained course for those who need basic Italian to survive in Italy. Lessons will be focused on every day vocabulary and situations.

Individual lessons: Possible, upon request. For arrangement, please contact us at: 62553073. You can also fill up the REQUEST FORM and send us by fax (63522005) or attach it to your e-mail (segreteria.iicsingapore@esteri.it or info.iicsingapore@esteri.it). Your request will be processed within one-two weeks.

Courses on request: For company staff who do not have time to attend regular courses, classes can be organised at the company's premises.

Teaching Methods

How we teach Our teaching is based on a method which emphasizes the communicative function of the language, without neglecting the linguistic aspect that are indispensable in obtaining a complete knowledge of a language. Additionally, time is also spent looking at the key aspects of Italian culture, music, cinema, fashion and cookery.

Teachers

All teachers are native speakers with experience in teaching Italian to foreigners.

Examinations / Diplomas

All students who have attended classes regularly will be presented with an Attendance Certificate at the end of each level.

CERTIFICATIONS

CERTIFICAZIONE DELLA CONOSCENZA DELLA LINGUA ITALIANA

Twice a year, students can take the CELI (Certificato di Lingua Italiana) from the University for Foreigners of Perugia (Levels 1 to 5). The examination is open to everybody interested in obtaining the Certificate, not only for the students of the Italian Cultural Institute. It is particularly important for those who intend to study or work in Italy.

In 2006 the examinations will be held on the following days:

12 June (registrations should be submitted to the Italian Cultural Institute by 28th April)

20 November (registrations should be submitted to the Italian Cultural Institute by 6th Octoberl)
